Great Benefit Sale

Belk Department Stores and HandsOn Jacksonville offer the Great Benefit Sale as an annual fundraising opportunity for area organizations. The Sale is held in the fall and is open to all nonprofit organizations. This is a private sale, giving storewide savings to ticket holders.

The 2008 Great Benefit Sale will be on Saturday, November 15th from 6:00 AM until 10:00 AM, at the Avenues (both stores), Regency Square, Orange Park Mall, Roosevelt Square and St. Augustine Belk stores. 

 

FOR INDIVIDUALS

You may purchase tickets in advance from any Belk store in Jacksonville or St. Augustine.  A $5.00 ticket rebate will be awarded off customer's first purchase (limited exclusions apply). . Belk charge customers will earn double points by using their Belk card at this event.


FOR NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS

The Sale becomes an excellent fundraiser for nonprofit organizations, which earn $5.00 from each $5.00 ticket that they sell.   Belk and HandsOn Jacksonville get the word out – with advertising and promotions, and also provide all the materials that the volunteers need.

Participating nonprofits may register at the nearest Belk location, where tickets will be distributed for sale to all recognized 501 C charity organizations (bring proof of nonprofit status).  Each organization will be furnished with tickets to sell.  Organizations may contact the store manager to reserve a table and sell tickets in the store prior to the day of the sale.

FOR BUSINESSES

There are two ways businesses may participate:

  • Become a corporate sponsor of the sale. Purchase a minimum of 100 tickets and the corporate name is publicized in the event’s advertising. Additional tickets may be purchased in batches of 100. And tickets are a great way to show employee appreciation, or to give to a client as a thank you.
  • Your corporate volunteer department may wish to “adopt” a charitable organization and sell tickets on its behalf. This is an ideal way to support your favorite charity.

Annual Spring Charity Sale

Each spring, Volunteer Jacksonville and Belk sponsor the Annual Spring Charity Sale for participation by any nonprofit organization.  This year's sale was on Saturday, May 3rd from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.  Sign up and tickets were available at any Belk store in Jacksonville or St. Augustine.  Each ticket sold for $5 and agencies kept all proceeds from the tickets they sold - it was that easy!
