The
Hope Fund is a joint effort of the Florida Times-Union, the
University of North Florida and HandsOn Jacksonville. Its
purpose is to help provide basic necessities to area families
in need. The campaign starts at Thanksgiving and goes through
Christmas. UNF journalism students write stories about families
whose names are provided by participating agencies. HandsOn
Jacksonville collects the donations and distributes 100% of
the funds through participating agencies to help their clients
in need. To date, The Hope Fund has distributed over two million
dollars to area families.

Nonprofit agencies which are members
of HandsOn Jacksonville and serve needy clients are eligible
to apply for participation each year. If you would like more
information concerning The Hope Fund, please visit the website by clicking on HOPE FUND or by calling HandsOn Jacksonville at 332-6767. If you would like to see a sample application form, click 2008 Hope Fund Sample Application Form.
